Garifuna Tribute draws hundreds to Biko Center

Friday, Biko Arts Collective hosted a cultural tribute to Simeon Aranda, Belizean musician and songwriter, who passed away earlier this month. The event united the Garifuna community and counted with Rosita, Garifuna Mass Choir, Owusu Slater, James Lovell, from the Garifuna Brooklyn movement, and featured famous and beloved singer Aurélio Martinez, whose fans gathered for a wonderful night honoring the musical work of Simeon.
